CPI logoThis year CPI will be holding the first European Restraint Reduction NetworkTM conference looking at how organisations tackle the issue of reducing the use of physical restraint.

Speakers will vary from those instrumental in recent changes to Government guidance from the Department of Health, RCN and Skills for Care to health legal practitioners, ‘Mental Health Cop’ Michael Brown and Mind Chief Executive, Paul Farmer.

Through a mixture of keynote presentations and workshops, the conference will be an opportunity to focus on effective strategies which prevent the misuse and abuse of restrictive practices and which lead to measureable reductions in restraint.

The conference seeks to educate and inform current and prospective members of the network, CPI Certified Instructors and anyone in the education, health and social care sector wishing to share good practice.

The Conference will take place on 26 – 27 June at Conference Aston, Birmingham. For more information and to book your place visit: www.crisisprevention.com/en-uk/Conference/2014-CPI-European-Conference.
