positive practice awardsThere are just two days left for nominations to be made to the national Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards.

The awards, in which Mental Health Today is a media partner, seek to recognise and reward the most positive practice in mental health services by celebrating both services and outstanding individuals who are making a real difference.

There are 13 categories that individuals or teams can be nominated in, including the Time to Change Recognition for Stamping out Stigma Award, Partnership Working and Commissioning for outcomes in Mental Health.

The original deadline for entries was extended to August 16 to reflect the positive response to the re-launched awards from the mental health sector.

“We have been blown away by the excellent response to the re-launch of the Breakthrough National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards,” said Tony Russell, one of the organisers of the awards. “Our partners and our sponsors, together with the great response from across the country have shown us that these awards definitely will be back to stay.

“We are really pleased that so many busy people both working in the field and using services have taken the time to nominate those people and services that they feel are making a positive difference.”
